Головна / Dictionary / solar keratosis

Solar keratosis (also known as actinic keratosis) is a skin condition characterized by rough, scaly patches on the skin caused by prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. It is considered a precancerous lesion because it can potentially progress to squamous cell carcinoma if left untreated. Solar keratosis commonly appears on sun-exposed areas such as the face, ears, neck, scalp, and hands.
