What’s cytology?

Cytology is the examination of a single cell. These cells are sometimes present in fluid samples. Cytology is used to do the next:

  • Diagnose or display for most cancers or illnesses

  • Display screen for fetal abnormalities

  • Display screen for Pap exams

  • Diagnose infectious organisms

  • Work with different screening and diagnostic areas

The cells to be examined could also be taken by these strategies:

  • Scraping or brushing the tissue floor, corresponding to throughout a Pap check
